5. RUSSIA
The Soviet Union aided North Korea, and unofficially participated in the Korean War from June 1950 to July 1953. It played a covert role of air intervention and medical support. Communist leader Joseph Stalin sent a small number of Soviet pilots to fight disguised as Chinese or Korean pilots.
In total, there were 51 Soviet aces who fought in the Korean War. The Soviet Union deployed 400+ soldiers and suffered 40+ casualties.
The memorial in Moscow, Russia is dedicated to all Russian soldiers who fought in Post-WWII conflicts.
