32. Daegu (2018 – Battle of Tabu-Dong Victory)
This memorial located in Daegu is dedicated to the unknown soldiers who fell during the Battle of Daegu. The battle occurred between August 5–20, 1950, where countless South Korean soldiers died alongside their American comrades of the 1st Cavalry Division.
After continuous defeats and retreats, the U.N. Forces finally emerged victorious in this battle, which was a part of the Battle of the Pusan Perimeter.
The 1st Cavalry Division suffered a total of roughly 600 casualties with nearly 200 killed in action.

South Korea was my country #25. I traveled to Daegu from September 20, 2018 to September 21, 2018.
