6. WASHINGTON (Olympia)
An estimated 85,000 from the state of Washington served during the Korean War era. In total, 488 from the state never returned home from Korea, including 126 POW/MIAs who still remain unaccounted for.
This memorial located in the city of Olympia pays tribute to these heroes.
