29. SOUTH CAROLINA (Greenville)
An estimated 82,000 from the state of South Carolina served during the Korean War era. In total, 483 from the state never returned home from Korea, including 110 POW/MIAs who still remain unaccounted for.
This memorial located in the city of Greenville pays tribute to these heroes.
