28. GEORGIA (Atlanta)
An estimated 130,000 from the state of Georgia served during the Korean War era. In total, 757 from the state never returned home from Korea, including 161 POW/MIAs who still remain unaccounted for.
This memorial located in the city of Atlanta pays tribute to these heroes.
