39.3 NEW YORK (Flushing)

An estimated 482,000 from the state of New York served during the Korean War era. In total, 2,373 from the state never returned home from Korea, including 509 POW/MIAs who still remain unaccounted for.

This memorial located at Flushing’s Kissena Park in New York City pays tribute to these heroes.

See photos of the Memorial and videos of the veterans at https://koreanwarmemorials.com/memorial/flushing-queens-new-york-ny-united-states/

I was in Flushing, NY from July 17, 2018 to July 19, 2018.
