26.1 ALABAMA (Mobile)
An estimated 129,000 from the state of Alabama served during the Korean War era. In total, 700 from the state never returned home from Korea, including 148 POW/MIAs who still remain unaccounted for.
This memorial located in the city of Mobile pays tribute to these heroes.
