7. INCHEON (2018 – US Gen. Douglas MacArthur)

This memorial located in Incheon is dedicated to the Incheon Landing. The Incheon Landing resulted in a decisive victory and strategic reversal in favor of the United Nations Command.
On September 15, 1950, U.S. General Douglas MacArthur led some 75,000 soldiers and 261 naval vessels to land on the Incheon shore.

The U.N. casualties during the Incheon landings and subsequent battle to reclaim Seoul were high, with 566 killed and 2,713 wounded.
