49.2 VIRGINIA (Quantico)
An estimated 139,000 from the state of Virginia served during the Korean War era. In total, 882 from the state never returned home from Korea, including 193 POW/MIAs who still remain unaccounted for.
This memorial located inside the Marine Corps base in Quantico pays tribute to these heroes.
