34. WEST VIRGINIA (Charleston)
An estimated 95,000 from the state of West Virginia served during the Korean War era. In total, 814 from the state never returned home from Korea, including 164 POW/MIAs who still remain unaccounted for.
This memorial located in the city of Charleston pays tribute to these heroes.
